Shopping for pet CBD products can be intimidating.  There’s so much information about how CBD can benefit your pet, but how do you pick the right product?  Once you’ve narrowed down the type of product your pet would prefer, whether chews or an oil, you still have many products to compare side by side.

Levels of CBD can vary widely from product to product.  All Canopy products have been developed with measured amounts of CBD based on a pet’s weight.  Make sure that the product you’re considering works with your pet’s weight range.  For example, SurityPro Active for Small Dogs weighing 4-25lbs works great for a 15lb. Boston Terrier, not so great for a Golden Retriever.

Another thing you’ll want to look out for is the list of active ingredients on the back of the package.  This is where you’ll find the CBD content as well as other co-active ingredients being used in the formulation.  It’s important to know what’s in the product and how it works.

It’s also important to review the inactive ingredients for anything your pet may be allergic to.  If you want more details on how much of each ingredient is in the product, including verification of how much CBD is in each bag, just use your phone to scan the QR code on the package or click here.  Once you reach the webpage, make sure you put in the unique lot or batch code that identifies the exact production batch that you took home—or do it in the aisle before you make your purchase.

Lastly, be sure to review the directions for use section.  This will let you know how much of the product you should be giving on a daily basis.  All of our products have been developed so that the most you ever have to give your dog is 2.5 chews at the largest weight range.  Some other products may require many more chews per day which can be difficult to keep up with and result in more trips to the pet store.  While your pet may be happy to receive extra chews, we find the sweet spot is in having a manageable average of 1-2 per day to keep things simple.
